Too late for ODIS huh? But then I don't understand why IBM Corp.'s still a 12% stake in ODIS... If such a dinosaur doesn't find a better use of its spare money than throwing it away at any computer start-up then I'm puzzled.
It looks like IBM has a purely financial interest in ODIS as any VC or insurance company would have... That's not what we used to expect from an industrial shareholder: when Microsoft or Sun Micro invest several millions of cash in other companies it's because they plan to leverage some technology into their own product/service line. Think about Microsoft taking an 8% stake in Belgium-based LHSPF: MSFT's objective here is to leverage LHSPF's voice recognition technology into MSFT's OSs, Office suits, etc...

If IBM Corp. doesn't have any ''strategy'' regarding its ODIS investment then they'd better go somewhere else --and resell their ODIS stocks to MSFT or SUNW!

Am I missing something?

My 2 cents,
Gustave.
