So big deal. Who in the world would fly in a commercial aircraft on Jan 1, 2000 anyway? Statistically Jan 1st is the most dangerous day to fly anyway. The New Years day holiday will simply extend one or more days.

John,

I have a copy of the Canadian newspaper Globe & Mail dated October 27 and one of the headlines says: "Army fears civil chaos from millenium bug." The article states that as of January first, the Canadian armed forces will give YK2 their highest priority over the ensuing year. It is being called Canada's largest peacetime military deployment. --Al
