What's interesting about the debt increase this year is that 65% of what was added the whole of last year has already been achieved in less than two months. But that's understandable, when the stock market, LTCM, money center banks, Brazil, Indonesia, Pakistan, South Korea, Thailand, Russia, Ukraine (and bunch that we probably don't know about).....are all too big to fail. As tax revenues inevitably decrease, the "balanced budget" projection will be interesting to watch.
