Let's talk about brake hoses.

My 1982 BMW has OEM rubber brake hoses, which I want to upgrade for driving schools.

Upgraded brake hoses (constructed from least one of the following materials: kevlar, stainless steel braid, PTFE/Teflon) expand less than OEM rubber brake hoses when pressurized and therefore allow a firmer brake pedal, and better brake feel.

Stainless Steel braided hoses are available but come with a disclaimer stating that they are not DOT approved (recommended for off-road use only).

Can anyone here answer the following questions, where can I get DOT-approved upgraded brake hoses, and how much will they cost?
