Hi Dan,

The key is in the copyright laws, which in my opinion should be changed in the interest of fairness.

The idea - which seems to be shared by many up here - that current copyright law is a sacred pillar of true capitalism; it seems pretty ridiculous to me.

All laws are arbitrary and capricious, including those which say magnetic media cannot be copied except by the "creator" of the original media.

I for one look forward to more "piracy" and not less.

FWIW

>>> More than half of all computer users, 52 percent, say they have never installed a software program -- a basic step in computing.<<<

They are wrong of course. They have stuck a cart in the Nintendo, a Cd in the Playstation, a key in their Chrysler, their moms name in their cell phone. They just didn't know they were booting up machines, installing applications, doing data entry.

This should just give you a hint of what is wrong with the traditional OS?
