<<CAMPAIGN FOR DELL TO START E-COMMERCE>>

Interesting idea. However, CPQ acquired an internet search engine along with Digital and it hasn't done much for their market price.

I think Dell has the management skills to recognize the opportunities of the internet and will exploit it fully. I fully expect a blow-out last quarter announcement in February and then the resume in Dell's growth.

Folks on this thread who are whining about Dell's recent performance should go back to January of this year and compare the stock price then to now. After all, we are still in 1998, and the one year performance "ain't bad". A few months of level prices has happened before and will probably happen again. When these "hot" internet stocks begin to top out, people will start putting their money where long term quality exists - and there is no better place than in DELL.
