"Bashing" the French?

OK but still:

1 There are hundreds of thousands of young American boys buried in France having been killed in the act of saving the French and

2. United States serivcemen on active duty in defence of US interests were refused overflying rights over France causing substantial additional risk to them in the performance of their duties.

3. I do not notice France coming to the aid of the US in the Gulf since the end of the Gulf War in quite the same way that the US came to the aid of France on a couple of occasions over the last 80 or so years. Why do we hear that France, Russia and China etc? I could be a little more understanding if I heard Russia and China were against this or that UN Security Council ruling but France? What on earth has the US done to get this kind of treatment?

This sort of thing isn't helpful to the US and the UK in fact it is very unhelpful. I just think that the US and the UK deserve that France looks just a little more like a friend.

Regards,

L
