Any of you folks use cable modems? If so, what do you think of it?

If any of you have Ameritech phone services, they provide ISDN connections for $200 set
up and $50 per month. Not a bad deal but you have to sign a long term contract on the
ISDN line. ISDn is much faster than 56K (about 5X's) but much slower than T-lines.

A single channel ISDN is only 64k (hardly 5x a 56K modem). You can get a dual channel ISDN (which means you can have two simultaneous downloads/uploads at 64K for an effective 128k connection), but that's still far below the 5 x speed. If they're quoting you that, they're lying.
