Schoch thankyou for your kind words. All those datek lovers that sung the praises are now disgruntled customers. If you trade enough they'll get you. Free trades seldom soothe the sting of a multi thousand dollar loss. Nothing worse than putting in a limit order watch it go unfilled and run a point,as you try to cancel you get cancelling for 5 min while the stock reverses and you get filled on the selloff and sell for a loss. Or the time I had a stock that gapped for a double and when I tried to sell there system was down for 45 min and I ended getting out flat. Cost $4500. If I can save 1 person $1 I'm happy. Datek would do everyone a service if they would post daily the time that there system is working. 9;40 9;50 whenever. Instead of the daily morning guessing game. Few people have confidence when the place an order prior to 10 am. Unfortunately the first half hour is when the majority of the opportunitys occur. With Datek you miss out on the most lucrative part of the day. After 10 I seldom have problems.
