IQ,
If the next generations of new computers with improved functions and deceased cost come up soon, if the bandwidth problem will be solved sooner than we expect, if more and more new internet applications, like real time video and audio transmission come to market quickly, if the above happen in short time, then we sure will have another wave of economic growth very soon. But there is uncertainty in the timeliness and extent of the above happenings.
The problem is the market is not based on the above assumptions. It was based on FED rate cut with some kind of psychological effect. The internet bubble seemed more like something that usually happened at the top of a market cycle.
Anyway, it seems both opinions have not got enough to convince the opposite.
