I just discovered this thread. Here is one that has been moving up steadily.

American Multiplexer ''AMC'' Introduces High Speed Internet Access Via Satellite for Corporate, Government and Institutional Users
Download Video or Data at Speeds Up to 32 Mbps and Send at 384Kbps -- True Throughput

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 24, 1998-- American Multiplexer Corporation (AMC), (OTC BB:AMUT) recently acquired the assets of SatCom Media Corporation, a Santa Clara-based company that invested $10.5 million over the past 2 years in the development of an advanced satellite communications network called SatExpress.

The network is ideally suited for high-speed Internet access and applications such as corporate training, telemedicine, distance learning, engineering collaboration or multimedia communication between geographically disbursed locations.

SatExpress is the first commercially available Network to integrate entertainment broadcast technology with two-way satellite communications. Capabilities previously available only to large multinational companies will be available to small and medium size companies. SatExpress allows you to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN) at a fraction of the cost large companies invest in their private networks.

The user installs a compact satellite terminal (SatPort) which includes antenna and indoor unit that will interface directly with your existing LAN Ethernet TCP/IP enterprise network. SatPort communicates directly via satellite from your facility to the Network Operating Center or Hub, which is integrated with existing satellite and land based networks.

The SatExpress Network Operating Center (NOC) will store and distribute Internet and other content as well as provide billing operations. This capability will enable AMC to participate in service revenue as well as sell proprietary hardware. SatExpress compliments the AMC product line by offering high-speed satellite services to corporations, Government and institutional users in addition to the wireline products currently available in the consumer market.

Since 1991, AMC, under the name Temasek Telephone Company, developed and sold wireline products that increase the services available to home and Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) users, without upgrading the existing phone lines. The MUX-6 card increases your line capacity to 6 phone lines for each line coming into your facility. The DigiCop-1 provides a Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL), 115Kbps service over existing copper lines. Future wireline products will be fully Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) compliant.

The SatCom acquisition significantly increases the net tangible assets of AMC. Previous valuations of SatCom Media had been in the $100 million dollar range, determined in discussions with major satellite communications companies.

The AMC strategy is to establish Strategic Alliance Partners (SAPs) with competitive Local Exchange Carriers, ISPs and Teleport Operators in the U.S., and with the PTTs internationally. The SAP will own and operate the Network Operating Centers (NOCs).

SatExpress is still in the development stage, however, beta site discussions are in progress with several potential NOCs in the U.S., Asia and Europe. It is expected that a fully operational satellite network capability will be demonstrated through selected beta sites in 1999.

Information in this press release, other than that of historical fact, is based on development schedules and projections that involve substantial risk and uncertainties. Reference is made to the Company's Annual Report for the year ended December 1997 and to other documents filed in compliance Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations for a discussion of such risks and uncertainties and other factors that may have a material effect on the Company's business.

(GGNC):: I used to live in LasVegas for a few years. You cant watch live simulcast & bet on the 10 top horse tracks in the world there where the average daily handle is 1 BILLION dollars a day in China, by the click of the mouse. And be able to bet numerous sports around the world and different casino games all right in front of you, with the highest technology designed user friendly software. I was just giving you a suggestion on a company(GGNC) that has enormous potential to capitalize on the $80 Billion Dollar online gaming market. The officers of the company have LasVegas gaming experience. Do your own DD. I thought the same as you till I did my own research.
Good Luck.
