Nashville, TN, October 1998 -- Tommy Nelson and Thomas Nelson
announced a multi-year publishing agreement with DreamWorks Consumer

in theaters on December 18, 1998. The deal grants Tommy Nelson the rights

titles for adults based on the animated feature film.

"We believe we have an unprecedented opportunity with DreamWorks in
taking the story of The Prince of Egypt to families everywhere in homes,
schools, churches and libraries, and re-introduce this timeless story of Moses
to a new generation," said Dan Johnson, Executive Vice President/Publisher,
Tommy Nelson. "We are honored to have been chosen to assist in bringing
to life in book form this inspiring story."

Tommy Nelson will publish five books which will be inspirationally based and
beautifully illustrated with artwork from The Prince of Egypt. The titles

"In selecting our publishing partners and book formats for The Prince of
Egypt, we set out to develop a program with broad appeal," comments Anne

for books that interpret the film's themes from Christian perspectives."

Tommy Nelson will also work with other companies in bringing additional
licensed products based on The Prince of Egypt into the CBA marketplace
including additional book titles from Penguin Putnam and music titles from
Provident Distribution and DreamWorks Records. "Tommy Nelson will work
with DreamWorks to create unique and exciting point-of-purchase materials
to bring all licensed products together, as well as a parents guide to the film
which will be distributed in CBA stores," says Dan Lynch, Vice President of
Marketing for Tommy Nelson. The Prince of Egypt display and
merchandising kit are scheduled to ship along with all product by the end of
October. The street date for the soundtrack and two inspirational albums is
November 17, 1998.

The Prince of Egypt tells the story of two men - one born a prince, the other
born a slave . . . but only one was chosen to lead. A lie made them brothers,
the truth will destroy a kingdom and forever separate them . . . in faith . . . in
heritage . . . in destiny. The film stars the voices of Val Kilmer and Ralph
Fiennes as Moses and Rameses and also brings together the vocal talents of
Sandra Bullock, Danny Glover, Jeff Goldblum, Steve Martin, Helen Mirren,
Michelle Pfeiffer, Martin Short and Patrick Stewart. Helping to tell the story
are six new songs written by Academy Award®-winning lyricist Stephen
Schwartz (Pocahontas) and a score composed by Academy Award®
-winning composer Hans Zimmer (The Lion King). The film is directed by
Brenda Chapman, Steve Hickner and Simon Wells.
