Handling stocks < 2 yrs old

Hi, Ron

In QP2 you can use the DaysLoaded variable to find out how many days of data there are. Then you can do something like this:

float oldmax;
DaysRequired = 22; // Makes sure at least 22 days of data

if (DaysLoaded >= 471) then
oldmax := max(-21,-470,hi);
else
oldmax := max(-21,1-DaysLoaded,hi);
endif

and then do your comparison: Max(0, -20, hi)>=oldmax*.95
and thus handle younger stocks...

Yours,

Boom Dog

Ron,

IMHO, for US stocks at least, QP2 offers significantly more than StockWiz, as a product, as a data provider. In my experience, this extends to customer service too.

A couple of other posts re: StockWiz.

Look at the posts in their User Support Bulletin Board(s) to learn about what people like / want. You can even post questions to them. StockWiz has a Windows database product available now. I paid to be a Beta Tester, but it wasn't for me. I'm sure they've continued to improve it since then.
