Not sure how you got the impression about trading for a living. I certainly don't! I would be very leery of this, if I were you. I wouldn't even think of this unless I had been trading for a couple of years, and had proven to myself I can win consistently over the long haul. The general number I've heard bandied about is at least $100K to start with.

Do you just trade your own capital or are you trading with other peoples money?

The majority of traders on this thread and the Cybertraders thread use their own cash to fund their accounts and margin to increase their buying power. This conclusion is not based on a survey but an opinion I formed after reading all of the posts.
