If you go poking around on this site, you find that mutual fund net inflows for October were much below earlier in this year, though not yet negative as they were in August (be sure to scroll down to the "net new flow" figures):

Everything I see and say is skewed by my bearish expectations, of course. But this does not look like very robust support for the market.

To be fair to the Merrill guy, he is figuring the value of the other internut stocks and stacking up Lycos on a relative basis. Compared to Yahoo, it is dirt cheap. Compared to reality, it is kind of pricey. <G>
