The following is another version of the news release. -------------------------------------------------- Monday November 30, 10:49 am Eastern Time Safeguard ScientificsCEO starts new venture WAYNE, Pa., Nov 30 (Reuters) - Safeguard Scientifics Inc., a partnership comprised of information technology entrepreneurial companies, on Monday said it will invest in a new venture focusing on related technologies in North America and Europe. Donald Caldwell, Safeguard's chief executive officer and president will head the new venture, called the North Atlantic Technology Fund. Caldwell, will become CEO of the new fund, but will remain with Safeguard until a successor is named, the company said. The fund is expected to be in operation by June 1999, will have offices in both the Philadelphia area and Dublin, Ireland.
