This is bad, but not all bad. Musser's getting old and they had tapped Caldwell as his successor. There isn't anyone else in line to the throne. And all of SFE's success is in picking good companies, so thew line of succession is impt. Musser is 71. Caldwell is about 52. OTOH, they get (yet another) new fund, making them ever more valuable as an incubator, and ever more difficult to value as a single company, because of all the subsidiaries and sub-funds with partial owenership. They now have to appoint a new pres, let's see who they get.
