Logic NOT Emotion here people.... Into the face of a worldwide financial meltdown & total overall market collapse these stocks sold at these levels. Nothing that has been spoken about here of late; as far as lowered EPS expectations, or E&P cuts, are ANY surprise to anyone who has been following this sector. We've had lower oil prices than we currently have; the expectations for crude & earnings are down for 99 over 98; but a double going from 1999 to 2000. This was all ready fairly priced into current prices. Can't go wrong buying here; patience and not ''instant gratification'' is the key. I do see another run up though... Today is the last day for "Wash Sale'' transactions people - gotta think outside the box; any surprise to an over-sold situation here ? There are some big one day trading opps today - TBI on a 798,000 block trade etc. the over 10% losers today are ALL good 1-2 day trade opps imho. Yes; we could go lower; imho - 5-8% max below prior lows. The fundamentals are better today than during the total market capitulation in Sept - Oct... This is NOT ''new'' news in the oilpatch. RIG with their pure deepwater play and still solid longterm contracts in the low $20's ? VRC GLBL right here; FGII @ $10 again... some small caps getting decimated; the strong earners like CXIPY (holding well) CLB SCSWF CDIS are exceptional buys today.... I know no one is buying today <VBG>... Only time will tell .... There just isn't ANY new news out there imho to fundamentally reflect this sell off. We WILL see another run up - guaranteed <VBG>... Logic, not emotion is the ''ticket'' here today !
