>>>I was thinking of Suretrade. Anyone use it?<<<

Did you just read the post before yours?

I think that answers your question. UNSUREtrade is highly UNstable, especially when it comes to trades on their site. And good luck actually getting to place a trade via "Live" broker. It's not bad if you dont mind waiting 20 minutes (like I did today) while losing potential gains in the process.

It is quite aggravating to say the least. You DO get what you pay for, and at $7.95 I'd say I was asking for it. They really need to beef up their surver and staff...quite unprofessional.

Get a clue, the brokerages are protecting you by limiting margin. You think banks will lend you money to go to the casino? Why would brokerages?

These stocks are way out of hand and a lot of you are palying with borrowed money. There are very few easier ways to get wiped out entirely.

Any of you posters know something that is being underestimated by any of the big players? Not a post I read in the last week proivdes any tangible reason why these stocks should go up. What are the 99, 2000, 2001 estimated PEs for this stuff? Any of you guys know? I doubt it, if I'm wrong post them.

Good luck- cause that's what you're banking on.

10 million plus shares traded? Can't get an order in? Oh that's a big surpirse.

I 'm not trying to be mean, just I can't believe the greed and craziness on these stocks.

You're unlikely to be able to find any brokerage who is going to do much more for you. My full service brokerage restricted shares of ONSL today to prevent any shorting against-the-box. They didn't have the shares in inventory to permit such an action. It didn't matter to me, since I own options on it; not shares. I took the drop as an opportunity to buy more.

In any event, I think it's better that some limitations are placed on the ability of most to trade this stock on margin or short it. This has the tendency of protecting people from themselves.

LONGonDELL

Possible explanation for your loss of margin.

This is probably old news, but since it hasn't been posted on this thread -- there is a rumor circulating that the Fed has restricted certain internet related securities to cash-only trading (ie, no margin). The following is one of many postings relating to this rumor.

techstocks.com

I'm sure we'll all find out before tomorrow's open.

Horrible....Suretrade is absolutely a nightmare. I opened an account with them 4 weeks ago. It is still not activated. Meanwhile, they are sitting on my money. I asked for the refund...still haven't got it.

I prefer paying $200 per trade to my Prudential broker anyday !

I have used Waterhouse Securities to trade internet stocks all year. I have ONSL on margin along with NAVR, MALL and XCIT. I have had no problems buying or selling.( the one except was today:it took more than 15 minutes to execute a market order to buy shares on NAVR)

Waterhouse was quoted in a recent article to be considering raising the margin requirement. However, commonsense is in order with any internet trades so don't become overextended.

Good Luck!
