<<Jesus was either who He said He was or the greatest fraud that ever existed.>>

I don't agree with that. You make it sound as if Jesus wrote the Bible.

How about the myths that came about after Jesus died about the man? Maybe Jesus was a philosopher (God forbid!).

<<He was either who He said He was or a liar or lunatic if He believed His own lie because He died for
it.>>

Sounds much like Socrates...

<<Only one thing leaves you condemned in God's eyes according to the bible and that is rejecting the
absolute free gift of salvation through acceptance of His Son as Saviour. He loved you and me so
much that he gave His life for us before we even knew about Him. I could not expect that of anyone I
know. >>

The way in which I can rationalize that before the eyes of the Christian God is that humans have inherent within them original sin. Because of this original sin, it compels people to do things perhaps they may not have wanted to do. Because the authors of the Bibles were surnames, we have no real idea as to what the self-interests of the people writing the canonic gospels were. If Jesus would have written during his life (notice the parallel with him and Socrates), things, I believe, would be much different now. There is never any indication as to why Jesus didn't write during his lifetime.

But neither did Socrates, did he? Socrates never wrote a thing in his lifetime either. That's right, and because of that, I say that I am a follower of Plato, and not of Socrates. Although Plato may give license to the fact that all he was taught was from Socrates, you cannot tell me that Plato recorded the entire Republic word for word, can you? Of course, I cannot state that to be the truth, but most scholars agree that it was not recorded word for word.

The bible teaches Christ and salvation through Him simply and uncomplicated, world religions and
denominations

Keep in mind that the Bible was created by a world religion and denomination, and not Jesus, John.

God's love can penetrate through skepticism and reveal Himself to any individual. I found that He
does reveal Himself in His word, the bible, which the church I had attended tried to dissuade me from
reading because it exposes many false teachings of man made traditions.

Then the practical message you have received from the Bible seems to be the utilitarian one, ie, stay away from fanatical interpretations. You seem to have gotten the good part of what the Bible can bring without the bad part of what the Bible can bring.

In that case, making the Bible the ultimate truth may not be a bad thing, espeically if it makes you, as an individual whole. But the danger stems from imposition among other people, especially with the threat of non-salvation if there is non-belief.

See what I'm getting at, kinda?
