NM TOP PICK! CNBC - Joe Besecker an analyst with Emerald Asset Mgmt. Interview was based on his top 5 picks...NM was # 2!!
He noted NM's new management, smart money coming in, upcoming ads, etc. He said his firm thought NM had a good strategy going forward and that it was "good play".

From NM board on Yahoo.........Please read
I just got through to the Investment Relations Dept at NM. I talked to Sharlene who works for Bruce (888)889-6375. She said that Cendent is actually a subsidary of NM and they are awear of an error on the E4L page which says that the site belongs to Cendent. They will be putting out a PR and changing the site very soon. NM gets 100% of the membership fees and a cut on each and every sale.

I told her to check out this and the SI boards to see what their investors are talking about. I asked her to please put NM's name on that E4L and stop running up the value of CD!

I suggest you all call NM IR Dept and urge them to get this news out there, pronto! Be supportive but let em know we're pissed.

NM Go Real Long!

Now that I agree with. That is why I bought NM. I sold when I couldn't figure out how they make money from the site. I am still waiting.

We do know how cendant makes money from netmarket: membership fees. It doesn't matter how much volume is sold through the site, they only make money from membership fees. This means that cendant is a middleman for other suppliers. I think that is how NM makes money too. We just don't know what the cut of the fee is or how many members that NM plans to sign up. The press release I would like to see from NM would be a 3 year target for new members. Say 6 million people. If NM commits to a target like that, I will jump back in with both feet.
