I can go with the faith and love but the third for me is hope instead of self interest. Not that self
interest has no place for God says to love others as we love ourselves so self hatred is not the humility
God is teaching us IMO. Learning to be sensitive to others has helped me to learn to love them and
myself.

The doctrine I live by has helped me to do the same. However, it does not teach me humility in the sense of being humble. It has taught me to take a step down if you are not being a utilitarian.

BTW, what do you define as "hope?" I allege that it is part of self-interest.

Do you believe there is a higher power than yourself in the Universe?

Such a question is irrelevant to me. It does not matter to me because I cannot prove such a thing on this world. Pondering about that which I will never be able to explain will only hinder me from pondering the things I can prove in this day and age.

You switch from a person to a group so it is hard to put them together. The Catholic Church is a group
of many and in my opinion is only a worldly part of the Church.

But from what I've been told, the Catholic Church has one main goal. And any institution with one main goal has to apologize for wrongdoings done by its people. Governments must apologize on behalf of the country for the country's wrongdoings. In other words, the Church could be viewed as an individual because it possesses a unifying goal and is founded upon that goal, whatever it may be.

The true Church is in the hearts of individuals. God deals with us on many levels but most
importantly as individuals.

That's a Protestant view... are you Protestant?
