Went to the health food store today, got talking about what ToN might be made of. Guy showed me a product branded Chicolin, a powdered extract of chicory root, which he recommends mixing with his favourite brand of stevia. By itself it's roughly the same dulciness [or maybe a little less] as sugar, he let me taste a bit and it's quite a nice taste. It's much cheaper than stevia, says on the bottle 'Great Tasting All Natural Oligofructose', and on the back 'excellent natural source of inulin', inulin being a natural saccharide, and saccharides being forms of natural sugars, guy says.

He has a favourite proportion for mixing them, and favourite brands as well.
Says stevia varies widely in taste, quality, and purity depending on source.

He got a chuckle out of the Gustaratum Naturatatatus or whatever.
