Tech,

the last time IBM had a stock split was about the same time MSFT had a stock split. I dont know the exact dates but I believe it was within weeks of each other. And you are right, IBM is in the $160-$170 range while MSFT is still in the low $120s. So which company had the better growth from the last split? Looks like IBM did.

The stock may not hit $141 by Friday, but my prediction of $151 by Jan and $200
by end of June , 1999 is still valid.

The volume of Microsoft today is not heavy, 17 million shares. You will see big fire sale of internet stocks in the next couple of days, and money will be back to those
Blue chip high tech stocks, I call it money rotation, and it is now happening. The big fund managers are just reposition their holdings.

Again, Split announcement sometimes in Dec, 1998. Stock hit $151 by Jan 1999, $200 by June , 1999. All Microsoft's witness will be on board in Jan of 1999. Wave of new product announcement in 1999 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
