Ed, You said a split announcement is possible in Dec 1998. Would they not wait til earnings? I thought microsoft employees get their stock options at the beginning of the year, while new employees get them at the commencent of their employment. I think they might want to wait til January to announce split. Does this logic make sense? What do you think?

Well as a long term holder I would like this stock to ride to 300 next July and then split depending on market conditions!! I mean if China devalues all bets r off!! You Go MICROSOFT!!
