Jon, how about giving me some yesses or nos:

1) Do you know who is part of Netvest?

2) Do you know who is behind the private placement money?

3) Do you know who in Hornblower and Weeks likes ZULU/ESVS?

4) Do you know who Mr. Duckman knows?

5) Do you know who set up the presentation at the New York Yacht Club for the first public display of Sesame-ad ever?

6) Do you know anyone personally who Pat Hayton knows personally?

7) Do you know who is behind the Asian Trust Group?

How can you speculate so negatively? It's possible any one of the above could find an AMEX specialist?

Thanks for coming up with that info, by the way. That was good.

What Jon is saying concerning the differences in Nasd and AMEX is that N Market Makers can choose what to do at a given point while A Specialists must follow a given procedure at that same point.

It's sort of like the difference between Private Pilots flying around for fun and Commercial Pilots flying people around for dollars.

If for instance an airport is fogged in and below published minimums, the Private Pilot may choose to go ahead and try to land whereas, the Commercial Pilot's decision was made for him while (still at altitude) when the airport reported below minimums, he has to divert according to rules set forth in the Federal Aviation Regulations for commercial carriers.

This is a big reason more Private Pilots crash and burn than do Commercial Pilots on commercial flights.

Now this is not to say that the Commercial Pilot wouldn't love to make a stab at landing, but by doing so he could not only lose his job but also his license and livelihood.

The Private Pilot by taking the chance may lose his life, but I bet he will still have that Pilot Certificate when they put him 6 feet under.

Short def: Nasdaq = intuition and chances
Amex = Procedures and predictability
