To all- To Tom Scotino Tellab's PR department- IMHO we are dead in the water lately in regards to Tellab's stock value. The majority of analysts and investors are waiting for these next 4-5 new product announcements, including one on fiber-optic combo type product.
When and if these new product announcements are forth-coming, I would put in a plea for as much fleshing, details, long term implications etc. as one can safely put into these news releases, without alerting the competition. I'm looking at my +3% return in Tellab's for F.Y. 1998, and I'm saying to myself, I would have been better off with Dell(+220%) or Exite (+450%) for the same time period.
I am not alone. I will be patient a little longer, but if some firm evidence or concrete new technologically advanced products aren't forth coming soon, I will be forced to go elsewhere. We need some progress reports on the massive amounts of R+D money that is being spent,so we don't get discouraged in the meantime.
A friend and a long term stock holder and a long term promoter of Tellab's on various strings. I don't mind if you share this with Mike B.
Sincerely,
Dave Dickerson
