Watching SCANSHIFT gives you a feel for intraday range extension in an easy to visually absorb format. If you have TradeStation, try it out for a month. What is neat is that you can click on a spoke and it will pop into the hub and show you that range extension rectangle at the moment. When you fly a plane, you have to have a rapid, consistent scan pattern to fly in instrument conditions. Successful intraday trading also requires a rapid, consistent scan pattern, and the hub and spoke format facilitates that.
