AOL won the battle due to superior brand and distribution over its competitors. I have no idea if COOL will be one of the two or three main distributors of electronic components in a few years. I imagine they will grow revenues this Q, but so will circuit city, shopping.com and a host of other, very similar sites. Amazon.com will probably eventually offer the exact same products as COOL, as will (probably) Yahoo, Excite and all those well known sites. I just don't understand why people on this board are so convinced COOL is going to be one of the winners.

What % of COOL's sales last Q were to international customers, do you know?

As for the ads, the agency may have a great history, but does the ad of a gerbil hitting a wall make you want to order a modem from COOL's web site? It didn't work for me, but maybe I'm in the minority.

We'll see if COOL will mirror AOL's 3 year move. I have no position so I don't really care, I'm just surprised by the cheerleading on this board.
