I "see" your point and will be keeping an "eye" on IDX and "scanning" the news wires for more information about possible IDX acquisitions of iris-scanning companies.

If there are two companies IDX has its "eye" on . . . for sometime down the road . . . they could be IDT's partners in the just-formed (September 1998) International Biometric Industry Association -- Visionics and Iriscan. Both are privately held. I'll bet neither is making any money yet. Each is best of breed in its subcategory.
