I don't think Tenke will be going anywhere but the fighting in the DRC is of course having a very negative effect on the stock. This coupled with the lower price of copper and rather sad forecast for the price for 1999 makes the stock unattractive. Lundin has the knack of getting close to the right people in countries like this and if Kabila is on the way out be sure Lundin knows the guy in the wings.

The feasibility study is on the eve of completion and the company is looking for partners. With a war on Gecamines are slower than usual in their decision making. Broken Hill Propriety of Australia is one possible yet not a serious one in my opinion. Billiton from the UK has got good airplay from a few quarters, yet who know's.

I belive a South African company will be the winner as the countries companies are picking up bargains in the war torn and resource rich central Africa.
