Hubert, The advertising business is going well thank you. Millions and millions of gullible consumers are being led to the temple of Mammon each and every day with a smile on their face, a jingle in their heart, with their sweaty hands clutching their credit cards. As for not calling you, I'm still trying to figure out how to use your talents in my business. You and a few others writers I've encountered on SI have me wondering about the concept of a Virtual Advertising Agency. With some of my on-line acquaintances, I'm confident I could throw out a strategy, define a demographic target, open the floor for creative submissions, and end up with an email box full of excellent ideas. As an added bonus, when submissions didn't fly, I wouldn't have to witness mopey writers (cum artistes) bitching about my lack of taste and vision. Hmmm. . .maybe one day . . . I agree instability can be a virtue--I'm a career instabilist, and am amazed everyday that I am able to live the life I do. Anyday now, I'm expecting a carload of men in black suits and sunglasses to pull up to the studio saying "OK, let's go--you've been having way too much fun for too long. People actually pay you to do this!? Criminal. The gig's up you, you, you Bohemian--get in the backseat now. And please stop your infernal humming!" Rick
