All,
Well, I'll give you what little update I have, but you know the drill--when I speak in praise of the company, be prepared for the price to go down :(.

Garry (Goinlong) spoke about a new product Pacel is coming out with. I called Dave Calkins the other day and asked about it. He told me that I could get a copy to play with on Monday. To be honest, it doesn't strike me as anything earth-shaking. It sounds like an image-magnifier utility. It goes on your desktop and when you see an image on the web that has too much detail (like an Org. chart that's all scrunched up) you can use this to zoom in. I remember owning something like that for the Macintosh many many years ago. It's fun, but like I say, nothing that will throw the planet out of orbit.

I just stopped by the Pacel web page a few minutes ago and there are some updates. First of all, looks like we have a new logo for Visual Writer. Check it out:
pacel.com

Not bad, eh?

More importantly, there's a section called "Papers" which now has some choices filled in. For example, "White Papers" is now a choice one can click on. The reading I did was a little dry at times, but it had its moments of perkiness. As an investor, I liked the focus on how the Visual Writer was born from the real issue of how to help customers. That is, the Visual Writer wasn't created with the message to businesses, "Now you will do it our way" but more "We will do it your way, it will just be automated now." I like that.

Well, that's all for now. I guess no one's buying at .055 because they're waiting for .04/share?? Hey, you're talking to a man who thought .125 was rock bottom, so I'll believe anything at this stage of the game. Wake me up in the Spring of '99, ok?

Ciao,
Chris
