Addi:

They were wrong so they left. Nothing new. My question is, why did you sell too?

addi,

i for one am still around. feeling some pain no doubt though. just for the record i don't believe i came across as arrogant. merely pointing out the fundamentals. which by the way cannot support current price of stock. right now the street is gunning the semis and equipment makers. semi index was up 91% in last 6 weeks. way ahead of itself. no doubt will pull back. as to how far who knows. i believe i will have a nice profit on shares short from 39 in next 3 months. congrats on the large profit and the house.

IMO, XLNX is only one of the trading vehicle, Long or Short, whichever way you can make money. I was a XLNX's long last year big time on options. Now Semi stocks have appreciated quite a bit and earning warning season is approaching upon us. Some shorting in the portfolio seems to be a balanced trading method.

ps: in fact I am thinking of creating a tax shelter method for next year by initiating long and short positions in XLNX and ALTR.
