Gottfried --

Read the articles about Brazil, Mexico, etc. Some heavy stuff going on down there (e.g. Brazil down 9% today) and none of it good. I think our markets finally got spooked like the rest.

The rate cuts were viewed positively, which was what caused the reversal of the S&P futures last night following the asian downtrend, but the Brazil situation weighed it down eventually. I am surprised by the extent of the turn, though.
