i dont play shorts...puts are easier.

we both clearly have a bias on the stock. sorry you got in it so soon. instead of buying now, i would recommend keeping some powder dry in case the opportunity arises to average down.

i dont think the world is falling apart, but i do think we are in a very delicate time and it is going to be a while before the all clear signal. let me help you understand where i am coming from...i would rather miss a 100% gain than take a 20% loss. so, with that in mind, it is far safer to buy puts at this overinflated level than to buy calls.

when production around the world is running at full tilt again while at the same time chip prices are increasing, i will be happy to go long AMAT. but i have a feeling that before that happens AMAT will revisit the high 20s. then i will go long.
