>>On-line auctioneer Bid.Com International (Toronto:BII.TO - news) continued to suffer at the hands of profit-taking investors. The stock dropped C$0.51, or 13 percent, to C$3.40 in turnover of nearly two million shares after soaring last week in frantic trading.<<

>>UBid's auction offers excess merchandise, including close-out and refurbished products, directly to users. Product offerings include computers, consumer electronics and home gadgets like rice cookers and juicers. In other words, it's a direct competitor to Onsale -- a company that had third-quarter revenues nearly four times as big as uBid's.<<

>>In addition to competing with other auction sites, these companies also go up against America Online (NYSE:AOL - news) , a powerhouse in online commerce that offers access to auctions to its 13 million members. In addition, many PC manufacturers are selling directly to customers. At Dell (Nasdaq:DELL - news) , Internet sales made up about a fifth of its $4.8 billion in revenue in the September quarter.<<

Yeah....keep comparing it to other stocks that are traded in Canada.
When will you people realize BID.COM has NOTHING to compare it too! You cannot properly valuate it....you cannot compare it to other plays...you cannot say that paper will be coming out etc...

The reality is that 7 million shares traded today...when most people were watching TMCS hang out at $40 per share. I will guarantee this prediction. $4.00 tomorrow (+/- .20) as it moves along with uBid to new highs. I think everyone was waiting for uBid tomorrow. After a dismal day on the markets today...traders want action. I bought Egghead.com at $15.50 today and BID.Com at $2.98. I put my rep on the line here people.....if I'm wrong...I probably wont come around much after today :)

So in other words....see you soon!

There was a scathing article in the National Post today on BII.
Analyst compared it to eBay and was not kind.
I said a couple of days ago $2.00 is possible and we aren't far away from there now.
Let me ask one question, how many here have thoroughly gone through the BII site, and have you or would you buy any of those products on auction ???

Let me just say, I like the company but I find they have a lot of work ahead of them as many others do in this game.

Al - Agree. I like BII, but I think you're right. I'm out @ $4 and I won't be back until Yorkton has finished doing what they love to do. There's not enough momentum any more to cover the selloff. This is opposite to what I said before; I was wrong. I've seen this pattern, and I don't trust it. JMO. Regards,JK
