Rande...

No way can "they" stop us from trading. Its not like there is a central target they can hit like Baghdad.

Why is there so much infighting on this thread alot after market closes? I thought MG calling of Joe an "arrogant bastard" was totally uncalled for. Wouldnt surprise me to see him in Jill's Jail doing time soon.

Of course, any supporter of BIG DOG....

I wont go on.

We will get our single digit internets and anything else that comes our way. You are right, the trader in their home, or office, in my case holds a lot of power. But for the media and everyone else trying to trash the day/internet traders... HOGWASH I say!!! What about all those goons in the exchanges. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO RUIN peoples investments!!!

Seems to me, Some people feel the little guys shouldn't be playing the market. Or better still playing the market but without taking profits. Ohh so sorry the Big Guys feel this way. It looks like they will have to share some profit with all of us this year!

We are the makers of markets.

Rande-great post

Cunning strategy?? Fight fire with fire...with a flame thrower?..

To fight back in a unified manner takes a concerted strategy and I am at a loss at how "mere confidence" will shake the power that controls the media and sets the tone against day trading. A simple and effective counter strategy (guerrilla tactic) is offered....

RUMOR--- CNBC and some co-conspirators are under SEC investigation for conspiring to short internet stocks during the November 30, December 1, 2 trading sessions by mentioning false and specific unsubstantiated information:

1. Rumors of FED intervention in internets
2. Raised margins at some brokerages.
3. Bombarded the media with lies about daytraders ruining everyones long-term
investments.
4. Complained to government agencies and asked for investigation.
5. Attacked after-market boards, asking for SEC regulation.
6. Knowingly released unsubstantiated downgrades on several stocks to squash run for personal self gain..

BUT FIRST-I suggest that every day trader e-mail the SEC requesting that they investigate the premeditated and timed conspiracy...so the rumor has merit and that as good citizens we are merely reporting a suspected crime and.....we can honestly state that the SEC is looking into it and that we encourage others to e-mail the SEC.

The net effect of such a rumor is that CNBC will get the message loud and clear that they should be "very" careful to contain their internet hatred and abstain from being the pawn of Wall Street Pundits that despise the power of the internet. Besides, if they were put under oath....I wonder how loud they would sing????...... Smoke, fire, flamethrower...I suggest that we let CNBC know that internet traders have some power of their own.....Any thoughts???
