BONZ, re Hudson Bay account, in another life you would have more easily conceived of it <g>, sounds like you're not in at the moment.

Yea, TPI, a company with a $9 million market cap. And exclusive rights to Vertex 2000 in Canada.

Pete

It may not be a daft as it seems. The Oct 29 announcement was for three "embedded systems" contracts. If you examine the 8 contract-related Y2k announcements that TPI has made since September of '97, 6 of them have related to embedded or non-IT systems. The Y2k sites all seem to suggest that the only viable strategy for embedded remediation is to replace or retire the old chips. I believe the announcement speaks for itself. This is a niche that doesn't appear to have many players.

These embedded projects would presumably include Building Systems. Certainly, the Advanced Elastomer announcemnt did. Advanced Elastomer's website aes.com says that they operate in 27 locations on 4 continents and are a joint venture of Exxon chemical and Monsanto Chemical. A pretty impressive contract for a small cap Y2K company, I would think.

Maybe TPI has more to it than meets the eye. If they have expanded into embedded systems contingency planning and assessments this would put them in a good position to deploy vertex 2000 in this customer base as current remediation strategies fall further behind.

You kick your football, I will watch this TPI a bit longer.
