Doug I guess companies like BID.COM will have to expand, and operate with a specialized line of products, if that don't work one other thing well , increase the product prices and company profits.???

Doug,
One thing to remember that the Baby boom generation are going to be the recipient of the largest transfer of wealth in history and most who are near retirement have had experience with computers in some form.Secondly, people are going to spend more on leisure activities in retirement and shopping means fighting traffic, line ups all which the majority want to avoid.
I forsee within 10 years a goodly portion of purchses made by consumers either on web tv or other mediums accessing the net.Think about it.5 years ago would you have thought you would be discussing the pro's or con's of discussing or buying and selling stock over the internet.Just some food for thought.

Hi Doug,
You seem to think people won't shop much online. How do you know?
You sure seem to spend a lot of your time on the net.

Pure Fantasy from 10 years ago: there will be a PC on every desktop. Yep, I guess the internet is just a passing fad.
