Here is another example of inside info to money managers from cbs.marketwatch:

cbs.marketwatch.com

MENLO PARK, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- Shares of Informix jumped 20 percent in heavy trading Thursday after the company met with several big money managers, CBS.MarketWatch.com has learned.

"We're making a more pro-active outreach to investors," said Stephen Jones, who handles public relations for the database software maker (IFMX). Jones declined to be more specific about the meetings.

The SEC should come out loudly and publicly to denounce such behavior and serve notice that it won't be tolerated.

Bull Session was a disappointment to those of us who expected the entire show to be a bull session. It seemed there was always a fluff piece or two and the bull session was about a third of the show. I wonder if there is a fear of putting a few guys and gals around a table and letting them talk. Without a script anyway.

One day soon in this IT world those who have an interest in filtering what we hear and who we hear it from will learn the meaning of disintermediation.
