what are you talking about. you just said everthing was faster except for SI access. so based on the fact SI access is slow you think there is a problem with cable modems/@home

I'm surprised nobody else mentioned this here, but I've seen this problem mentioned on other threads. The answer was to disable your proxy client settings for @Home. Check out the Welcome to SI thread, I believe the answer was posted there. If anything, you can just commiserate with others like you having the same problem. :-)
