Re: "I'm sure we would all be much better off with INTC options. Are you living in an alternate universe these days Yousef? "

Don't be such an AMDolt. You want us to post the 10 or 15 year comparisons of AMD & Intel? In spite of your tone it's kind of nice to see the uplifted spirits of you guys lately. You've been such total losers I like to see you guys trying to get back to even, after all these years. Another 50% or so and you will catch up with 1984!!! As for me, I'm trying to decide between a Maui Condo and one down in Cabo San Lucas, thanks to my Intel holdings. Oh what the hell, maybe I'll just get both......

<Yousef ... used to provide some useful input, but>
I would not be so sure. It is ridiculous to
speculate about a company's technology without
having even remote access to their fabs,
or having data from inverse engineering. It is
the same as criticize, say, K7 designers on
what kind of language constructs they are
using in their RTL equations and how bad or
good these constructions are when doing
optimizations. As far as Intel MHz vs. AMD
MHz contrasting, all his speculations are
wrong. I was trying to explain the impact
of design complexity on device speed in many
posts, but a total cloud still remains in
this thread on the subject. The recent
confusion about Cyrix's "only" 400MHz at 0.18
is the evidence.
