Indeed you are correct about the meaning of hypothecated Scottoo. But please note that it's second meaning in the dictionary is as a synonym for hypothesized and doesn't carry the legal connotation that you note. Hypothecated vignette for some reason seems to have rolled from my tongue bit more easily than hypthesized or hypothetical vignette. (I suspect it is probably too much hanging around the court documents at AZNT.)

While I will continue to believe my use was indeed proper, I will try keep your needs in mind and be more precise in the future.
