Seems to me that if CPQ had any really big news to announce(like an AV spin-off, which I think we have all decided ain't gonna happen, anyway), EP woulda made this presentation himself, instead of letting his minion grab the glory. Although, as CFO, I guess Earl the Pearl may be, or is at least supposed to be, more qualified in the area of dealing with numbers and analysts. El

According to Jag notes via Nordby.com, Merrill reinterated a rating of 3-1 in June. Nothing since. The rating of 3-1 means short-term neutral & long-term buy.
