I have been there and done that. Either you are the distributor or nada. That is why you must be capitalized. There must be one stop shopping for the consumer. You will get versionitis and all kinds of claims as to who the official or supported group is etc. etc.. There is no reason for there being two places on the net where the selling takes place. You will also get price wars and undercutting. How do you make an agreement with a programmer and have him make a separate agreement with another group. There will always be some clown who will claim to do it for nothing or who will distribute the stuff for free.

I tried to distribute a welding kit once. Everywhere I went someone had already shown it and there was a problem getting rods..etc etc.. sop you either have areas or nothing. What's the point if I spend money and time setting up shop and then someone else sets up right next door with the same product? Its ok for a chain store but I don't own a chain store and neither does anyone on the web.
