Chip,

Hi, how have you been? The fork is good for any time period chart, the one minute bar all the way to the monthly or annual bar charts. They should be bar charts.

Also, the tines are very reliable for predicting markets turning points, not targets, you're correct. The best real time illustration of this are the posts by Frank Skepton where he posted the SP each day for several days just prior to the market touching the upper tine. We all saw the market touch the upper tine and then sell off.

On your third point, I'd prefer to use bar charts since the fork is great for measuring the extreme of the moves.
