many short sellers do it for a living..
you are so wrong saying that people cant stay profitable working the downside of stocks. Altruistically, i love to be long and do in companies I love and think will succeed but when it comes to profit, it is so much easier to find companies to short than to go long in. It is a simple matter of being a historian instead of a psycic.
