Thank You, Ira

Some people know that I trade more for others benefit than my own, albeit they are family or close friends and even some small business in need. Wealth, for me, is something less tangible than things. I want to do some good in the world. I want to change that small corner of the world where I live, offline or on, such that we can move forward as a species. Collectively.

There are some truly wonderful and charitable people who visit this thread. All ages, all races, all religions, all nationalities, some physically challenged, and even to my own small lexia. But none of that matters. Because it shouldn't. Here it doesn't. A tolerant group, all in all. A little healthy cynicism, a common respect.

And I have no doubt that whatever is carried away from here by novice traders gets equally shared. And that sharing gesture is infectious, because there isn't any more a secret to trading profitably than there is to any other endeavor. The reward isn't in the profit we make, but in that sense of accomplishment and success. And more importantly, by looking at the companies, one understand more fully the forces that drive success or failure - those two things we leverage for a few coins of the realm now and then. Perhaps that knowledge of what works, or what to look beneath the surface for gets carried back to work, or family, or neighbors, however subliminally.

And in that, there is a deep smile.

>>Gotta build something that improves the human condition!<<

Thats why I do research in nuclear fission. If I am as good as my trading days, the human race is doomed.
