Hubert, I like your sense of humor. I said that and it's true. Jesus didn't want anything to do with the Jews resentment of the Roman's and there desire to be freed of them. I think today christians are being so politically aggressive because they woke up to what was happening around them. Prayer illegal in schools and go from there. The anti-christian crowd was hammering away at us and we didn't even know it for over a decade. Then we started saying , hey, wait a minute. Your right not to pray in school takes away my child's right to pray in school. So how can one be right and another not? Do we have freedom to practice our religion and is restrictions on that freedom a violation of the 1st amendment? YES, it is. To be free we will have to tolerate hearing things we do not like. A child of atheist parents may have to listen to a prayer, but has to grant the right for the christian to pray. Fair enough? Now on the law thing. We are to follow the laws of the land until they violate the laws of God. The argument that Paul said to submit ourselves to the governing authority was used to tell christians in germany in WWII to not help Jews and to even turn them in when they were hiding. That's an extreme example, but you get the point. The story of Daniel and being thrown into the lion's den was the result of Daniel refusing the kings command to worship him and not his own God. Do whatever you want with your wife, I don't care. I don't see any parallel though with homosexuals. I think that homosexuals are very self-destructive personalities for the most part, and it has less to do with sex than it does with a personality that has totally gone haywire. The beginnings of the catholic church were much different than what it became later. Stifling the Spirit of God and becoming a tyrannical regime. Someone posted on ask God that the catholic church when to celibate priests because the church was having to support the priests families. And some priests were having large families. So they cut the budget, ouch. So what kind of man would want that job now?! Frustrated pervs. I have never killed anyone in the name of God, or for any other reason either. That's not an issue with my faith. Bob
